Amy Duffey

Amy F. Duffey (nee Fowler), age 70 of Plantation, FL passed away on August 6, 2016, surrounded by family, after a brief but brave struggle with cancer. Amy was a fiercely independent woman, a school psychologist who later in her career specialized in early childhood assessments. While she was incredibly dedicated to her job, her loves were reading, antiquing, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved son Nathan A. Pennell (Emelye) of Shaker Hts., OH and the light of her life, her grandson Greyson Pennell; dear sister of Rebecca DeLany of St. Petersburg, FL and Jane Kerr (Clark) of Latrobe, PA.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers those who wish may make contributions in her name to support her son Nathan who is running the Chicago Marathon in her memory to raise money for the The Bonnie J. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Saturday August 13th at Unity Chapel, Latrobe PA with services immediately following. Private family inurnment, Unity Cemetery, Latrobe, PA.
