Ann Brown

February 27, 1931 — March 15, 2011

Ann Goodner Forsythe Brown came into this world February 27th, 1931 and departed this world March 15th, 2011. The beloved family members left behind to carry on Ann's unique zest for loving and living life to its fullest everyday are her loving sister, Mrs. Emily Forsythe Warren of Shaker Heights, OH. Her four loving sons, Stanley Morton Brown Jr. of Chicago, IL; John Clifford Brown Duffy of Brown County, IN; James Windsor Brown Jim of Dallas, TX; and Bruce Blair Brown Blair of Chicago, IL. Her five loving grandchildren: James Windsor Brown Win and Robert Lee Brown Bob of Dallas, TX; Jeremy Brown of Nashville, IN; Luke Brown of Jerico, VT; and Jonah Brown of Bozman, MT. Her loving nephews Robert Forsythe Warren of Shaker Heights and John Ingersal Collins and his wife Collette Collins. Loving nieces: Heather Collins, Kimberly Collins, Stephanie Ann Collins, and Molly Collins of Dearfield, IL. Mrs. Brett Trescott Warren, and her three children: Robert T. Warren Buddy, James W. Warren Jimmy, and Emily G. Warren Emmy. Annie Brown was a lady whom you would meet and immediately be captivated by her bright smile and genuine interest in you as an individual. Ann was a gifted communicator that spanned all generations. It mattered not your race, religious beliefs, color or wealth; she simply had an aire about her, of authentic and sincere insights into the souls and the good within others. However deeply buried the good might be, she would uncover it. These personal relationships that were forged were so dear and private to her; each one would be fostered through her love of people, genuine caring, and listening without interruption... well, most of the time. As tiny of a gal as she was, she was a Forsythe. With a powerful character and great strength in her convictions, she fought for what she believed. Ann gave love unconditionally to any and all who were real enough to face themselves in the mirror and attempt to tackle their issues head-on with the dawning of each new day, as a marker to being the best person they were capable of being. A truly special lady, none who knew her will ever forget how great Ann could make you feel, always understanding. With Annie, whoever you were or whatever you'd done, it was beside the point unless it was WONDERFUL! She was not tough as some believe she was, but simply Forsythian in her composition. She took all the world had to offer, selecting only the best, and with a cigarette in one hand and scotch in the other, saw only the worthy. A memorial Celebration of Life gathering will be announced shortly.
