Ann Kathryn Eberhard, 73, passed away on January 9, 2021 at her home in Shaker Heights, OH. Ann was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 11, 1947 as the oldest of three children of Bettie and Rev. George Eberhard.
After Ann’s birth, the family moved to St. Louis, MO where George completed his seminary studies and then to Chillicothe, OH before settling in Cleveland, OH. When Ann was a young teen, the family moved to Wickliffe, OH where George was called to start a new church. Ann attended Wickliffe Schools, singing in the choir and graduating with honors. She attended Heidelberg University where she also graduated with honors.
She began her teaching career at Wickliffe Junior High School and sought and obtained masters degrees in History and English from Cleveland State University. She moved to Willson Middle School on East 55th Street where she taught for 35 years. She moved from Euclid, OH to Shaker Heights to be nearer her mother and brother and joined Plymouth United Church of Christ. She joined the choir and was an active member. She also worked tirelessly on the church’s archive initiative and was serving on the pulpit search committee for the church’s new senior pastor at the time of her death.
Ann was an enthusiastic alumni of Heidelberg University and attended every reunion until 2020.
She is survived by brothers William and John (Laura) and nieces Elena, Alysse, Rebecca, Tessa, Heather and nephew Christopher.

Ann’s interment will be at Lake View Cemetery.
