Barbara Clark

Barbara Ardell Clark, passed away April 1st, 2011, in Judson Park, Cleveland, Ohio. She was 80 years old. Barbara was born February 26th, in Rockford, Illinois. Her Parents were Lewis Boyd & Elizabeth Bloom. Barbara graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in Education. As a child and an adult she enjoyed many sports such as figure skating, golf, ice hockey and tennis. She married David W. Clark on June 16, 1954 and they moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio in 1955. Barbara worked as an elementary school teacher in Shaker Heights for several years and she was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church. She was an Alder Guild Chairman for many years. She moved to Judson Park, University Circle in 2008 where she received excellent and loving care. As a devoted volunteer, Barbara assisted in helping the elderly working with "Meals on Wheels". She would also give much of her time to help the elderly church members and staff in times of great need. Barbara was an avid member of the "Four Corners Garden Club" , which she was a member for many years. She also enjoyed caring for her gardens at her homes in Shaker Heights, Beachwood, and South Euclid. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late David W. Clark, the dear mother of Deborah J. Lucci Greg Collins of South Euclid, OH and Alan B. Clark, MD Karen of Gastonia, NC. She was the dear grandmother of Andrew Clark Lucci, Nicholas Boyd Lucci, Benjamin Boyd Clark and Stephanie Elaine Clark and the great-grandmother of Derek Matthews. barbara was the dear sister of the late Joanne Simon. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to the Judson Park Foundation, 2181 Ambleside Dr., Cleveland, OH 44106; the Duke University Cancer Patient Support Program, Durham, NC, 27798; or Christ Episcopal Church, 3445 Warrensville Center Rd., Shaker Hts., OH 44122. A Memorial Service will be held, Sunday April 3rd at 2 PM in the Auditorium of Judson Park, 2181 Ambleside Dr., Cleveland, OH, 44106, entrance off Chestnut Hills Drive.
