Betty Jean Ozanne, born in Chicago, Illinois on May 16, 1928. Died peacefully in faith on May 4, 2023, at Westminster in Scottsdale, AZ. She is survived by her husband Leroy, married 71 years. Sister of Norberta Graham (deceased), Verna Moore, and June Holmes (deceased). Mother of Dominic (Gaile), Mark (Paula), Lisa and Geoffrey (deceased). Grandmother of Dominic, Monique (Timothy Davis), Olivia, Joshua, Andrew (Candace), Matthew (Holly). Great-grandmother of Vincente Davis and Isabella Ozanne.

Betty helped with the start of Ozanne Construction Company in 1952. Betty started a ‘Speak Easy’ program at Westminster for residents to get acquainted. She organized scholarship programs for the Cleveland Playhouse- Alex Haley Scholarship and Urban League of Greater Cleveland-Whitney Young scholarship. Betty and Leroy were active in the Catholic Interracial Council (CIC). Former members of St. Cecilia Church and St. Dominic Church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Dominic Church in Shaker Heights, OH, Educational Fund.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Dominic Church, 19000 Van Aken Blvd. (at Norwood), Shaker Hts., OH 44122 on Friday, May 19 at 11:30 AM AND WHERE FRIENDS MAY CALL ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE AT CHURCH.  Interment Lake View Cemetery.
