Betty Sague

January 19, 1917 — November 12, 2011

Betty W. Sague, age 94. Beloved wife of the late Samuel R. Sague. Dear godmother of Judy E. Fratianne of Solon, OH, Beth Rohrer and Scott Fratianne. Also survived by Judy's son-in-law, Alex and grandchildren, Alex and Ally. If you happened to walk past the "community" area of Southpark at Anna Maria, you were likely to find Betty Sague socilaizing with the other residents, reminiscing about the good old days!! Betty was born on January 19, 1917. She was the only girl in a family of four children born to John Raymond Wile and Bess Grace Parry. Her older brother, Wilford, thought Betty was a nuisance, so she spent her time playing "house" with her younger twin brothers, John Raymond, Jr. and Myron Thomas. She played with them as if they were her dolls, and Betty's mom always worried that she would squeeze the boys too hard. Fortunately Betty never did. Though Betty's family kept her busy, she always found time to volunteer at church and at the local hospital. In fact, she volunteered well into her adult life. It was something she always enjoyed. She also enjoyed spending time with a fine young man named Samuel Reston Sague. The two were eventually married, and the good Lord blessed them with 65 wonderful years together. Though Betty and Samuel did not have any children, they kept busy jet-setting to exotic places all over the globe. Betty was fortunate to have traveled to Turkey, Egypt, the Middle East, and England. Her favorite destination would have to be England because of her great admiration for the the Queen. In fact, Betty's dog was named Mrs Pimms, after an English style drink. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed needlepoint. She created countless pillows and adorned them with her favorite stitch, the petit point. Many a person was the lucky recipient of one of Betty's pillows. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to Crossroad Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Suite E, Green, OH 44685. Funeral services will be held at BROWN-FORWARD, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Saturday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m.
