Carole Egan Grady

Carole Egan Grady, of Mayfield Heights, died on July 29, 2023, after a short illness. Born in 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to John (Jack) Egan and Antoinette (Toni) Egan, Carole grew up in Cleveland Heights and went to St. Ann’s, graduated from Beaumont school in 1956, and attended Ursuline College.

She was the mother to David, Kathleen and Kevin, mother-in-law to Ranee, grandmother to Sean and Tyler and sister to Nancy Egan Richardson, who died in 2009.

While she was raising her three children, Kathleen, David, and Kevin, Carole worked as the Assistant Director at the Shaker Square Area Development Corporation (SHAD) and was instrumental in that area’s revitalization.

Carole gave special love and attention to animals.

A memorial service will be held on August 17th at 1 pm at the Brown-Forward Funeral Home, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Hts., OH 44120.

 The family will receive guests from 12-1pm before the service.
