Carole Phipps (nee Gardner) died peacefully on December 11, 2017, age 78. Beloved wife of the late Theodore Phipps; Dear mother of Elizabeth Owen (Christopher), Catherine Mercer (Thomas) and Warren Phipps; Devoted grandmother of Eloise, Emmet, Cabell and Jane; Cherished sister of Joseph Gardner (Ruth Ann), Edward Gardner (Donna, deceased), Warren Gardner (Susan) and the late Robert Gardner.
