Claire Castro

Claire L. Castro (nee Floria), age 80 of Cleveland Hts., OH.  Beloved wife of the late Julio A. Castro.  Loving mother of Julianne E. Shlonsky (Michael) of Lyndhurst, OH and Marcus A. Castro (Cynthia) of Solon, OH; dear grandmother of Eli and the late Matthew Shlonsky and Jordan, Tyler and Brett Castro.  Passed away on Friday evening 3/22/19 peacefully on her own terms surrounded by her family and beloved dog "Bugsy".

Claire grew up in Willoughby, Ohio and graduated from Willoughby H.S. where she earned a varsity letter in cheerleading.  She went on to nursing school at St. John's Hospital where she met her husband Dr. Julio A. Castro.  They raised their 2 children, Julianne and Mark in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Claire was an avid reader, found great joy in baking and enjoyed the sun! She volunteered at the Cleveland Sight Center and adored her many pets over the years.

There will be a private family service and she will be reunited with her husband at Holy Cross cemetery.

At the family’s request, no flower orders are necessary.
