CLYDE E. WILLIAMS, JR, died March 7th, 2014 at his Shaker Heights home, at the age of 94.
He was the husband of the late Ruth Williams (nee Van Aken) and the son of the late Clyde E and Martha (Barlow) Williams. Clyde was the father of Mark V. Williams (Janice), Sara W. Parish (David) and the late Clyde E. Williams, III; he was the grandfather of Mark J Williams and the brother of Thomas J. Williams (Lowell) and the late Samuel B. Williams (Barbara G.) and many nieces and nephews.
He grew up in Columbus, OH. Though he became legally blind at a young age, with great determination and hard work, he graduated from Denison University in 1942 and Harvard Law School in 1945.
Upon graduation, he moved to Cleveland, where he practiced law, eventually becoming a partner at Spieth, Bell McCurdy and Newell Co, L.P.A. for over fifty years.
He was actively involved with the Cleveland Sight Center, for over forty years, serving in many capacities, including chairman of the board of trustees.
He was a world traveler, but enjoyed spending summers at the family home in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, March 15th at 11 AM in Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights, 2860 Coventry Road (at Weymouth Rd).
