CORINNE C. FAIRWEATHER, age 87, passed away on February 27, 2013 with her family by her side. She leaves behind her sister Mary Ellen Coble; her sons Rick Fairweather of Seven Hills and Rob Fairweather of Arlington, Virginia and their wives Jeanne and Debby respectively; and her daughter Jan Radkowsky of Chagrin Falls and her husband Tom. She is also survived by her grandchildren Julia and Diana Fairweather, Ali and Patrick Radkowsky, and Rachel Meese, as well as her great grandchildren Madeline and Molly. Corky graduated from Ohio State University in 1947 with a bachelor's degree in retailing and remained an avid Buckeyes fan for life. Upon graduation, she went to work for Higbee's Department Store as a buyer in sportswear. In July 1949, she married Stephen H. Fairweather, an engineer who worked in the aerospace and medical technology industries. They were married 62 years until Steve passed away in October 2011. When her three children were in middle school, Corky went back to work part-time at Bamberger's Department Store in Princeton, N.J. to help save money for her children's college education. When the family moved back to the Cleveland area in 1968, Corky returned to work for Higbee's, where she worked until her retirement in 1994. When her mother died in 1994, Corky took on the responsibility of loving caregiver for her sister Mary Ellen Coble, who was afflicted with cerebral palsy. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 1st at 11 AM in the Mausoleum of Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH.
