Daniel Schubert

Daniel S.P. Schubert, M.D. PhD died after a long illness. Beloved husband of Nancy L. Schubert (nee Lapham). Dear father of Alex W.L. Schubert (Kristine J.) of Palatine, IL. Dear grandfather of Maya and Clara. He received his MD from University of Buffalo and his PhD from the University of Chicago and his Residency Training from Yale School of Medicine. Daniel served in the U.S. Army. He was a Professor of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve Medical School. He was on the staff at Metro Health Medical Center. Daniel authored many scientific papers and was Editor of Psychiatry in Medicine. He was past president of the Cleveland Psychiatric Society and a member of The American Psychiatric Association. Daniel was a longtime supporter of The Cleveland Orchestra and a lover of science and reading.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at Church of The Saviour Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions be made to: Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, NY, NY 10163-4777 or Church of The Saviour Foundation, 2537 Lee Rd., Cleveland Hts., OH 44118 where Memorial Services will be held at the Church on Friday, April 5th at 4 PM.
