David William Meyerson, 47, beloved father of Nicholas W. Meyerson passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011. David grew up in Bath, Ohio and attended Revere High School and Akron University. He had a successful career as a sales and training consultant specializing in technologies utilized in the healthcare industry. Among his many passions in life was his love of cars. During the 1990's he raced his Formula Light car throughout the United States under the Team Telxon banner. David's inquisitive mind led him to work on a number of inventions including the FlipKey in which he holds a patent. While at Telxon Corporation, David was a key member of the team that refined and developed the first wireless portable tablet computer for the healthcare industry. David's son, Nicholas, was his pride and joy; sharing a love for cars, drawing, model ship building and the game of chess. No matter the hour or the circumstance, David could be counted on to lend a hand or a sympathetic ear to family and friends. His favorite refuge was Starbucks where he would work on his computer, read or meet fellow coffee aficionados to discuss the complexities of life. Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nancy Hood Meyerson, David is survived by his son Nicholas W. Meyerson, his father Robert F. Meyerson, brothers Adam Cindy Meyerson of Bath, Ohio, Matthew Lory Meyerson of Weston, FL, Andrew RoseAnn Meyerson of Asheville, NC, Peter Debra Selden of Loveland, Ohio and his sister Elizabeth Roger Murphy of Hunting Valley, Ohio. David will be dearly missed by his family and friends including many nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Private services will be held for the immediate family only.
