ELIZABETH S. HALLARAN "Betsy" nee Salter of Chesterland, OH, died on Wednesday, August 19th at the age of 68 . Betsy was the beloved wife of the late William G. Hallaran and a dear friend to Walter R. Stephens. She was the dear mother of W. Patrick Hallaran Ryoko of Tokyo, Japan and Timothy R. Hallaran Janet M. of Kent, OH, as well as the dear sister of Stanley Salter Marilyn of Sumter, SC. Betsy received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Flora Stone Mather College, of Western Reserve University, and taught in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst School District for 2 years. She became a homemaker while raising her 2 sons, Patrick and Timothy. Betsy became the office manager at the Cleveland Aquarium from 1975 until it closed in 1986. She then came to the Cleveland Natural History Museum and performed a variety of duties including, but not limited to, The Executive Assistant to several museum directors, until she recently retired in 2006. Betsy enjoyed hiking, bird watching, embroidering, knitting, collecting miniatures since 09/11/01 and reading. She had a strong passion for traveling, and visiting Alaska several times as well as the Caribbean, Europe and Greece, to name a few. Of all the places she has visited, Belize is on the top of her list. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, August 26th at 10:30 AM in Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church, 5312 Mayfield Rd., Lyndhurst, OH 44124. Interment Lake View Cemetery.
