ETHEL MAY WILSON nee Rogers Age 95, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, died November 3rd, 2009. Ethel was the beloved wife of the late Bedford Wilson, who passed away in 1977. She was the dear mother of Lovell Rogers Betty of Shaker Hts., OH; the dear grandmother of Anthony Reynolds of Louisiana, Ericka Phillips of Columbus, Ohio, Lovell Rogers, Jr., also of Columbus, Ohio, and Dorian Cloud of Cleveland, Ohio. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, Anthony, Paul, Terrell, Shamara and Romey; Andre, Carl Jr., Adrienne, Erick and Lataea. She is also survived by great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wilson was the beloved aunt of Robert Taylor Sandra of Detroit, Michigan, Harold Taylor Jackie of Charlotte, North Carolina and Sharon Bryson of Southfield, Michigan. Ethel is also survived by her longtime dear friends, Anderson and Callie Bee of Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Wilson was born in Sprott, Alabama. She went to school in the neighboring Perry County schools, before migrating to Detroit, Michigan in the 1930's. Ethel worked many jobs over the years and for many years was with the Hudson Motor Car Company. She met and married her husband, Bedford in Detroit, and they moved to Mira Loma Village shortly before his death in 1977. In California she loved her rose garden and her efforts were enjoyed by all around her. Her love of cooking was renown and she would get out of her sick bed to cook for a friend. She lived right on the golf course and she played well and often. In 2000, she brought all those talents , along with her fine china, and moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio. Mrs. Wilson sister, Marie Melton, and her brother, Collins Rogers, have both predeceased her. The family has decided to hold private services with the interment being held in Riverside, California.
