George F Karch, Jr., age 77, died September 16th, 2010 at his residence in South Russell, Ohio. George was married 52 years to Carolyn nee Biggar, the father of Geoffrey A. Maryann of Colts Neck, NJ, George F. III Bayard of Park City Utah, and Megan Aly Vanderstoep of Seattle WA. George was the grandfather "Pops" of Lillie, Harrison, Jackson and Alexandra and the brother of Betsy Karch Wilson Richard, the late Sargent Karch Karen, and late Jane Karch Martin Edward. George graduated from Shaker Heights High School, Amherst College Cum Laude, and the University of Michigan Law School. He is in the Shaker Heights Football Hall of Fame, and made a part of the All Time Amherst Football team. He was an accomplished trial attorney with Thompson Hine for 39 years before he retired and taught as an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve Law School. He was a member of the Tavern Club, The Court of Nisi Prius, former member of the Kirtland Country Club and founding member of the "Biggar Outlaws".
