Halden E. Miller, age 95, died September 19, 2009. Beloved husband of Lois Miller. Dear father of Gloria Pohler Hans of Kent, Ohio and Mark Miller of Shaker Heights, Ohio. Dear grandfather of Tom Wetzel. Great grandfather of Sheyli and Mark Emiliano. Uncle of Molly Miller Plush and Charlene Griffin. Flowers are welcome! Memorial Services will be held at Garfield Memorial Methodist Church, 3650 Lander Rd., Pepper Pike Ohio at the circle on Saturday, September 26 at 11 AM. Hal was born February 24, 1914 and grew up in Bucyrus, Ohio. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated in 1937 with a B.A. degree. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi and Captain of the football team. Has served with the U.S. Navy as an officer during WWII. In 1940 Hal married Lois and later joined the family business at Caton Court Parking on E. 14th St. in Cleveland where he worked until his retirement at age 86. Hal and Lois raised two children, Gloria and Mark. He was active at Lee Road Baptist Church and later attended Garfield Memorial Methodist Church. Hal enjoyed being a friend, dancing to Big Band music, gardening and sports. A life-long supporter of the Cleveland Browns, he and his wife Lois attended Browns football games for over 48 years. Preceeded in death by brothers, Iver Sennet and Lee. Beloved husband of Lois, for 66 years.
