John "Jack" A. Wiegman died April 4, 2009 at the age of 90. He enjoyed careers with Standard Oil, British Petroleum and John Carroll University, where he was a Career Advisor. A graduate of Ohio University with a BA and an MA in English, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. He had a lifetime interest in theatre and was on the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Play House, where he had also been on the stage. Jack served on the Board of Dunham Tavern Museum, English Speaking Union, Arts in the Cathedral at Church of the Saviour, where he was a member over sixty years. He was active in the Cleveland Society of Decorative Arts and the Hermit Club. Wiegman was a world traveler to China, Russia, Scandinavia, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand and throughout the Panama Canal. For five summers he studied at Brasenose College at Oxford in english literature and works of C.S. Lewis. He made many trips to London for business and pleasure. Jack Wiegman is survived by cousins in Oberlin, Pittsburgh, Fairfax, VA and cousin David Wittmer in Cleveland.
