JAMES CORDEVANT CRISP
James CordeVant Crisp, 67, formerly of Berea, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at his home in Cleveland Heights, OH. Born May 20, 1947 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Virgil P. Crisp and Elizabeth W. Ball. He is survived by his brother John Crisp (wife, June),step-sisters Judith Yesso and Sunny Michels, nephews Jeff Crisp and Chad Crisp, cousins Susan Fagan, Robert English, Lynn van Dijk, Kirk Pracejus and Joan Stenger, and an aunt, Lois Pracejus.
James, a graduate of Berea High School and Hiram College, retired from the Cleveland School System as an elementary school and adult education teacher. Those who knew James remember him as a kind, gentle, quiet, generous man.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 3:00 pm at Forest Hill Church Presbyterian, 3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44118, Rev. Dr. John C. Lentz, Jr. officiating. Interment preceding the service at Acacia Masonic Memorial Park Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of Berea, 505 Front Street, Suite 3, Berea, Ohio 44017, in honor of Elizabeth W. Ball, or to Forest Hill Church Presbyterian, 3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.
