JAMES ROBERTSON HILTON, age 27. Beloved son of Dale Kocen Hilton and R. Robertson Hilton, PhD, of Euclid, OH. Dear grandson of Betty Fertel of Richmond, VA and Dr. Thomas L. Hilton of Boothbay Harbor, ME. Nephew of Joshua F. Fertel, William Hilton II and Thomas L. Hilton, Jr. The faJames Robertson Hilton served as Sales Manager of the Museum Store at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, operated by F.Y.E. He loved his friends and colleagues, his family, his dog Toby, his job, and the Cleveland Indians. James was born in the summer of 1982 in Chicago, Illinois, to Dale and Rob Hilton, and moved with his family three years later to Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Soon thereafter he developed his lifelong passions for music and baseball. Every summer throughout his childhood, on annual trips to Maine, the family visited the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y., at James's request. At the age of 13, he started taking the bus to downtown Cleveland to volunteer at Camelot Records, a precursor to F.Y.E., in the Galleria. James attended Roxboro Elementary School and graduated from Hawken School in 2001. He attended Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, Case Western Reserve University, and Cleveland State University before taking leave to accept positions of increasing responsibility at F.Y.E. James's friends and family will remember his ability to discern humor, goodness, irony and whimsy in the world around him, as well as his capacity to spread love and kindness. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to Heights Youth Club, 2065 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118 or Cleveland Public Library System, 325 Superior Ave., NE, Cleveland, OH 44114.
