October 23, 1932 — March 17, 2014

Jane Elise Graham Champ, 81, of Shaker Heights, died March 17, at Hanna House, University Hospital. She died of complications from Cancer.

Jane was born on October 23, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio to Sterling Edward Graham and Jane Elise Peterson Graham. Her father, Sterling Graham was the President of the Forest City Publishing Company which owned and operated The Cleveland Plain Dealer. She attended Hathaway Brown School and graduated in 1950, and she graduated from Smith College in 1954. She returned to Cleveland where she lived the rest of her life.

She is survived by her sons, their spouses and her grandchildren; Joseph and Polly of Plano, Texas; Sterling and Katy of La Canada, California; and William and Cynthia of Gates Mills. She has seven grandchildren; Sarah, Jessie, Kathryn, Olivia, Sophie, Elise and Whit.

Jane's career and passion was real estate. Her love of architecture and her joy in linking out of town clients to the unique charms of Cleveland's East side brought her great happiness.

She loved and supported her children, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family! She loved to see her grandchildren grow and blossom. She was an avid bridge player. Jane was dedicated to helping others, volunteering regularly at every opportunity.

We celebrate her life, her love and her joy! The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. Memorial Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 3445 Warrensville Center Road, Shaker Heights, OH 44122 on Saturday, March 22, at 10 AM.
