Jean White Moseley was born November 26, 1923, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The daughter of Charles M. and Helen B. White, she was the devoted wife of Thomas Wilder Moseley who died in 2017, mother of Ann Lynch (Daniel) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; Bradley van Hoek (Cornelis Johannes) of Palm Beach, Florida, and Chagrin Falls, Ohio; and deceased son George Thomas; grandmother of Charles Lynch (Susan) of San Diego, California; Alexander van Hoek (Kylie) of London, England; and Sebastian van Hoek of Los Angeles, California; and great grandmother of Ava, Theodore, and Charlotte van Hoek of London, and Jade Daniel Lynch of San Diego. She was also stepmother of Rebecca, Susan, Thomas, and George Moseley.
She was a graduate of Hathaway Brown School, class of 1941, and Ogontz Junior College, class of 1943. She was a long-time member of Shaker Lakes Garden Club and the Colonial Dames of America. She was on the Board of the Historical Society of Palm Beach, Florida, and Beech Brook in Cleveland. She resided most of her life in Gates Mills and Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She spent winters in Palm Beach, Florida, where she lived year-round for the last several years.
