Joseph Ayers

January 3, 1943 — February 15, 2011

JOSEPH BURTON AYERS, III "Trip" of Ft. Lauderdale FL and a seasonal resident of Lyndhurst, OH; and the devoted life partner for 30 years of Paul David Dobrea, died peacefully in Lyndhurst, OH, Tuesday, February 15th, 2011, with Paul and Minou at his side. Trip was born January 3rd, l943 to Aileen Bruch Ayers and Joseph Burton Ayers, Jr.. He was the special and oldest grandson of Helen Osborne Bruch and Edward Philip Bruch as well as grandson of Flora Sayle Ayers and Joseph Burton Ayers. He was the brother of Polly Ayers West, Edward Bruch Ayers and the late David Osborne Ayers. Trip was the uncle and adored cousin to many. Trip graduated from University School and attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. He was a loyal member of Alcoholics Anonymous since June 3, 1971 and assisted many with their AA programs. Trip was an accomplished interior designer. He and Paul owned and operated the design firm, J.B. Ayers., III Antiques and Interiors. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to The Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH, 44119 or the Cleveland Animal Protective League, 1729 Wiley Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113.
