Joseph Kelley

Joseph F. Kelley, M.D., age 83 of Shaker Hts., OH. Dr. Kelley was the beloved husband of the late Ann H. nee Higley. He was the dear father of Elizabeth K. Wyatt Jack D. of Bainbridge, OH and the late Christopher Higley Kelley and David Martin Kelley. He was also the grandfather of Angie Wyatt and Mandie Kasey, and a great-grandfather to Skyler Gage and Wyatt. Dr. Kelley is also survived by his sister, Carol Kerr of Warren, OH. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to the Christopher Higley Kelley Scholarship Fund of University School, 2785 Som Center Rd, Hunting Valley, OH 44022 or to a charity of choice. There will be a private family, Lake View Cemetery inurnment. However, friends may call at BROWN-FORWARD, 17022 CHAGRIN BLVD, SHAKER HTS, OH from 5-7pm on Friday, March 11th. If you wish to order flowers, please call 216-283-3300. Dr. Joseph Kelley was a graduate of Salem High School in '45, Dartmouth College '48 and subsequently Western Reserve Medical School '54. He was a Captain in US Army after college and before medical school, and served as a personal physician to a United States General, where he traveled all over Europe with him. Dr. Kelley practiced internal medicine, allergy and immunology at University Hospitals of Cleveland -- Cleveland Clinic where he served as department head for many years. He enjoyed gardening, stayed active with his alumnae associations, and, most importantly, loved his family.
