Katherine Moroscak

Katherine "Kathy" Moroscak nee Ireland, 71 passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2012. Kathy will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Richard Joseph Moroscak. Kathy was the dear mother of Richard J. Moroscak, Jr. Marla of Bethesda, MD and John M. Moroscak Tiffany of Pepper Pike, OH. Devoted grandmother of Evelyn and Jack. Dear sister of Lynn Dearborn the late Phillip and Gail Lanouette Edward and many loving nieces and nephews. Kathy grew up in Shaker Heights, OH and graduated from Beaumont School in 1958 and received her BA from Rosemont College, PA in 1962. She taught in the Shaker Heights school district, before opening up The Plant Company, a well known business that serviced the Cleveland community for over twenty years. Kathy had a passion for life and gave of her time volunteering for many local charities and organizations. She was active in fund raising for the Cleveland Museum of Art, she was a honored member of the Garden Club of Cleveland, Junior League of Cleveland, and a volunteer with the Shaker Lakes Nature Center. Kathy loved golf and tennis at The Country Club of Pepper Pike, OH and The Royal Poinciana Golf Club, Naples, FL. Kathy enjoyed time playing golf and bridge, taking nature walks and travelling with her husband and many friends on biking and hiking trips around the world. Kathy was loved by everyone she met and will continue to be a positive inspiration to her family and friends. Kathy will remain in our thoughts and hearts and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Beaumont School, 3301 North Park Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH, 44118 or The Carmelite Monastery, 3176 Fairmont Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH, 44118. Friends and Family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Her Life Reception which will be held at The Country Club, 2825 Lander Rd., Pepper Pike, OH on Wednesday February 22nd from 5-8 PM.
