Mrs. Charles Adams Hall Lee Price Goff went to join the Lord on June 30, 2010 at the age of 96. She was born January 19, 1914 in Birmingham, Alabama to Carl Jerome Goff and Lee Price Goff. She was raised in Birmingham and graduated from Howard College now Samford University in 1933 with a liberal arts degree. In college she served was a member of the Varsity Debating Team and Editor of the college yearbook. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and served as its president. In later years, she served as the Cleveland Alumni President; Province Director of Ohio College Chapters and President of the Cleveland Pan-Hellenic Association. In 1962 she received the Delta Zeta Ohio Service Award and in 1985 was awarded the Golden Rose for over 50 years of membership and service. In 1936 she married to her soul mate, Charles A. Hall and then moved from Alabama to Cleveland, Ohio. She joined Fairmount Presbyterian Church in 1940 and was the first woman elected to the Board of Trustees. During her faithful service she was President of Fairmount Guild 1955-1957; a member of the Session 1973-1976; Chairman and member of the Church Nominating Committee 1973-1976, Chairman of the Christmas Boutique 1954+ and served on the Stewardship Committee 1987-1988; In 1987 both Lee and her husband Charles were honored by being made Elders Emeritus of Fairmount Church. This was the first time the award for continued devoted service was given to a couple. She was a former member and President of Fairhope Garden Club; former member of the Junior Women's Board of St. Luke's Hospital Cleveland; former member at large, Board of Trustees of the Garden Center of Cleveland; member and former President of the Shaker Heights OH Neighborhood Guild. She was a founding member of Project Friendship Inc, a volunteer big sister organization serving girls referred by the Juvenile Court. She served as its first President of the Board of Trustees and became a charter member. In retirement, Lee and her husband Charles enjoyed traveling in this country and abroad, leading seven group travel tours in the 1970's. She also was happily involved in visiting her family who delighted in the blessings of her love. That love included her families' pets that she always adored! In 2002 she moved to South Carolina to be closer to family. Mrs. Hall is survived by two sons, Jerome George Hall Patricia, Thomas Price Hall Betty, three grandchildren Donna-Lee Hall Mattison Paul, Carolyn Marie Hall, Carl Thomas Hall Lizabeth and four great grandchildren Ashten Kyle Stanford 13yrs, Tristan Ray Mattison 11yrs, Rachel Grace Hall 5yrs, Caleb Gorman Hall 15 mos and her very special friend and caretaker, Gayle Fanshaw. A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 13 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Brown- Forward Funeral Home . 17022 Chagrin Boulevard Shaker Heights, OH. A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery 12316 Euclid Avenue Cleveland, Ohio on Wednesday July 14 at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Louise Westphal, senior pastor of Fairmount Presbyterian Church, will be officiating.
