Lois B. Miller, age 94, passed March 9th, 2012 in her family home where she had grown up. Lois was born April 2nd, 1917 and grew up surrounded by extended family on a farm in what was to become Shaker Heights. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated in 1938 with BA in sociology. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta and served as president of her chapter. She met Hal at Wesleyan and married him in 1940. They raised two children Gloria and Mark. Lois enjoyed being a mother, a friend, serving her extended family and helping students and Shaker Heights High School as library aide. She was active at Lee Road Baptist Church and later joined Garfield Memorial Methodist Church. She and Hal were loyal to the Browns and danced through the years to big band music. Preceded in death by her husband Hal and brother Bill Bletscher. Dear mother of Gloria Pohler Hans of Kent, Ohio and Mark Miller of Shaker Heights, Ohio; dear grandmother of Tom Wetzel; Great grandmother of Sheyli and Mark Emiliano; aunt of Molly Miller Plush and Charlene Griffin. The family would like to express their gratitude for the prayers and caring words whether in the form of visits, calls or cards. Special thanks to Audrey Maxwell who supported us all for five years.
