Louise Vance Schneidmuller, 92, died on December 26, 2012, at the Bruening Health Center of Judson Park, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where she had resided for four years. Louise was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, on May 1, 1920. The daughter of Vance Farley Gole and Maurice Joseph Gole, Louise graduated from Clarksdale High School in 1938. After marrying George Schneidmuller in 1939, Louise moved to New York City, where she lived until 1978, when she and her husband retired to Seven Lakes, North Carolina. Mrs. Schneidmuller worked as a secretary in the early years of her marriage, and also while her husband served in the U. S. Army during World War II. After many years as a homemaker, she returned to work, serving as secretary at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Hollis, Queens, New York. She was an accomplished seamstress with a flair for cooking and decorating, and enjoyed entertaining friends. Louise is survived by her daughter Gale Flament Michael J. of Shaker Heights, Ohio, son John of Locust Valley, New York, grandchildren Gretel Smith Paul Ewen, Michael Melamed fiancée Ashley Smith, George C. Schneidmuller, and Emma Schneidmuller, and great-grandson Henry Ewen. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, George Schneidmuller, her parents, and her siblings, Maurice Joseph Gole II and Frances Anastasia Gole Rexroth. The family prefers that those who wish make contributions in her name to Judson Park Foundation, 2181 Ambleside Dr., Cleveland, OH 44106. Funeral Services will be held at Brown-Forward, 17022 Chagrin Blvd. in Shaker Hts. on Saturday, December 29 at 5 PM WHERE FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 2-5 PM.
