Marcey Krum

Marcey Lynn Krum, aged 86, died November 10 in Crown Center of Laurel Lake having suffered from Alzheimer's disease for many years with current complications from pneumonia. She was the beloved wife of John Arthur Krum, deceased. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine of Paris, France and by her son, John Jr. of Zurich, Switzerland. Katherine has two daughters, Nathalie of Madrid, Spain, and Laura of Paris. John Jr. and his wife Barbara have three sons, Matthew, Christopher and Nicholas, all in Switzerland. Marcey is predeceased by her oldest daughter, Deborah Douglas, M.D. and survived by Deborah's two daughters, Kate Burgin, with their son, Alexander, and younger sister, Charlotte Gitter: Kate in Baltimore; Charlotte in New York City. Other than her family, music was the joy of Marcey's life. She sang in the Christ Church Episcopal Choir of Hudson for over forty years, as well as in the Hudson Community Chorus where she was on the Board and served as President for several years. The family prefers that those who wish may make memorial donations in her name to Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora Street, Hudson, OH 44236 or to The Laurel Lake Foundation, 200 Laurel Lake Drive, Hudson, OH 44236. Memorial Services will be held at Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson, OH on Thursday January 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Followed by a second Memorial Service at Laurel Lake in the Community Room on Friday January 20 at 11:00 AM.
