Margaret Funsett

Margaret Whiting Funsett, age 94, long time resident of Shaker Heights and Breckenridge Village, Willoughby, Ohio, died peacefully on May 9th, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Ethel (Jean) Whiting Addison, granddaughters Karinya Funsett (Topping), Twila (Funsett) Brandstrom (Kristopher), great grand children Katherine Topping, John Topping and Emily Brandstrom. Also survived by Nephew Bill Addison, Jeff Addison, Ann Addison, Patty Whiting, Nancy Whiting, extended family niece Raina Podmore and Peggy Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents Ethel (Austin) Whiting, Herbert Whiting, Husband Douglas Funsett, brother Herb Whiting and son Douglas Funsett Jr. Best Friend to Ruth Brindo, Eileen Stafford and Halbert Stafford.



Margaret graduated from Shaker Heights High class of 40, a Graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and Master Degree from Case Western Reserve University. Her career spanned into her 70's as an East Cleveland Librarian specializing in the out reach department for children. Margaret was an active member in Church of the Saviour. Family suggests donations be made to Church of the Saviour, 2537 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Knollwood Mausoleum, 1678 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Heights, Ohio 44124. Interment Knollwood Cemetery.
