Margaret J. Schloss (nee Pinti), age 94, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, passed away on April 25, 2019. She was born March 21, 1925, in Sharon, Pennsylvania.
Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Charles M. Schloss; loving mother of John P. Schloss (Heather); and cherished grandmother of Stephanie Schloss. She was predeceased by her parents, Ermenia Pinti (nee Esposito) and Charles Pinti, and her siblings: Eleanor Brown, Jean Marino, Carmen Pinti, and Richard Pinti.
Peggy was a human sparkle. Following her studies at Flora Stone Mather, she jitterbugged her way through life as a dance instructor in her 20s, fund raiser in her 30s for the American Heart Association, and dynamic realtor for decades thereafter. She modeled ladies’ hats in her younger years and always was the paragon of glamour. At the Cleveland Skating Club, she played tennis and ice skated. While the fog of memory loss clouded her recent years, she treasured her time with her grandchild and will be missed by all who knew her.
Peggy will be buried in a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, beside her late husband. The family suggests and appreciates that gifts in Peggy’s name be directed to the Cleveland Museum of Art, 11150 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 or the CSC Sports and Wellness Foundation of the Cleveland Skating Club, 2500 Kemper Road, Shaker Heights, Ohio 44120, where a celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 4-6pm.
