Margot Julia Jacob was born Sept. 8, 1917 in Cleveland Ohio. She was the daughter of Hungarian immigrant parents and had two sisters and three brothers. In 1937 she married Jack Elias Jacob. At the time they both lived in the Buckeye Rd. neighborhood of Cleveland. They had three children together. They lived their entire married life in Cleveland, but after the deaths of her disabled son and her husband, she moved to California to live with her sister. She was 82 when she made the move. She died Aug 14, 2010 after an 11 month illness. She was a homemaker who once won an award for her buttermilk pie. At the age of 60 she went to work for her brother-in-law, Dr. John Jacob, as a medical secretary. She worked there for 20 years and enjoyed greeting all the patients, many of whom were family and friends. She was always taking care of other people. She cared for her disabled son until his death in 1989. Later her husband became disabled, and she cared for him until his death in 1997. After her husband's death, she traveled extensively visiting Spain; Hungary; Branson, Missouri; Las Vegas, Laughlin and Mesquite Nevada; and numerous places in California as well as Alaska and Hawaii. She particularly enjoyed driving with her son across country when she moved to California in 2000. They stopped at many places of interest, including Albuquerque, Sedona, The Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Jacob and her beloved son Jack Jacob Jr. She is survived by her son, Dr. Donald Jacob Teresa, her daughter, Lyn Jacob-Kaprosy Guillermo Garcia Hoffman, her grandson Todd Jacob and four great grandchildren, Elly, Elise, Evan and Elena, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her ashes will be buried in the family plot in Highland Park Cemetery on Saturday, May 5, at a brief ceremony attended by her immediate family. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, May 4, at Brown Forward Funeral Home, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio 44120, from 7pm to 8.30PM. Afterwards the family invites all to join them at a mercy dinner at Maggianno's Restaurant, 26300 Cedar Rd., Beachwood Place Shopping Center, Ohio 44122, from 9pm to midnight.
