Marie Walzer born May 29, 1933 died November 11, 2024, leaving her beloved daughter Carol Orelli (Ricardo), brother John Wolfram (Mary Lou) and sister Ann Deggendorf (Terrence), Step-son Dr. David Walzer (Dr. Julia Uffner) and 3 step-grandchildren, Emily Walzer, Robert Walzer, and Laura Walzer. Nieces and nephews: Aaron and Leanne Wolfram son Joseph; Byron and Beth Wolfram son Chase daughter Paige; Matthew and Anna Blouir sons Charlie, Joe, and Anthony daughters Mary and Rachael.
Predeceased by her husband (Dr. Leo Walzer) her father and mother, Carl and Christina Wolfram, brothers Richard and Carl, sisters Elizabeth, Gertrude, Helen and Julia.
Marie had an illustrious career in banking with her first job at Bank of America in Los Angeles and then in 1953 at Central Bank in Cleveland becoming its first woman manager and first woman Vice-President, retiring in 1981. Marie was an advocate for womens' rights for credit and lending through her seminars and branch banking relationships with customers. Her "retirement" led to volunteering, golf, Ikebana and travels with Leo.

So ends a life filled with laughter and tears, hope, faith and charity - ever optimistic and charismatic - with the wish for all to remember Marie not with sadness but a celebration of a life.

A Celebration of Marie's life will be held at Brown-Forward, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Hts., OH 44120 on Saturday, November 23rd at 12 PM with a reception to follow. Private Interment Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
