Marjorie was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She was the daughter of Leona D. and Philip Wilkins. She was raised in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and entered Ohio Wesleyan University where she met her future husband Keith C. Russell. She graduated in 1941 and that same year married Keith Russell. Marjorie traveled with Keith during his Navy years and eventually settled in Warren, Ohio, where her daughter Jacqueline was born. They moved to Cleveland where Marjorie enjoyed playing golf at The Country Club, and also playing bridge. She and her husband had such happy times at their winter home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Since Keith was a big game hunter she accompanied him on safari and also enjoyed fishing trips, Iceland and European trips together. Marjorie enjoyed gardening and needlework as well. She volunteered at the Natural History Museum and enjoyed her membership at the Sundial Garden Club.
Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Keith Russell; utterly adored mother of Jacqueline Russell of Boulder, CO.; cherished grandmother of Summer Russell of Boulder, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to Hathaway Brown School, 19600 North Park Drive, Shaker Heights, OH, 44122. Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of Fairmount Presbyterian Church, 2757 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44118 on Friday, May 31, at 11 AM
