Martha Rand

MARTHA OSBORNE RAND, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2011 at Lake West. Born September 19, 1924 in Willoughby and a graduate of Mentor High School. She was employed by Bonwit Teller and Rand Development Company. She is survived by her sister, Molly William Lindblad of Moreland Hills, her brother Jerome T. Osborne, of Mentor; brother-in-law Robert E. Jones, Sr. of Mentor; numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her canine companion Jamie, and her caregiver and niece, Robin Jones Olds. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to her extended family at Bonnieville Towers. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband James H. Rand, III; parents Francis and Florence Osborne; sisters Ann Coulton, Florence Sykes, Sally Cornell, Patsy "Beezy" Jones, and brother Francis M. Osborne, III. The family prefers that those who wish make contributions in her name to Preston's Hope, P.O. Box 510, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022-0510 or The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland, 2507 E. 22nd Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44115. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life at Lake View Cemetery in the Wade Memorial Chapel located at 12316 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11 a.m.
