Mary Sawyer

Mary Jane Sawyer nee Timmer, RN, age 76 of Shaker Hts, OH, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010. Mary was born on January 23, 1934 in New Castle, PA to Mary and Edward Timmer. Mary had four sisters Carol and Colleen Timmer, Millie Higgins and Patty Rausch and one brother, Frank Timmer. She graduated from New Castle High School in 1951 and subsequently attended Jameson Memorial School of Nursing 1953 before moving to Cleveland, OH. Mary spent the majority of her nursing career at Hanna Pavilion at University Hospitals. Mary is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Boyle James of Orange Village and Sarah Sawyer also of Pepper Pike, OH, as well as her son, Jeffrey Sawyer Christine of Cincinnati, OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Janie and John Boyle, her nephew, Dennis Higgins, and her sister, Patty Rausch. The family prefers that those who wish make contributions in her name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E 185th St, Cleveland, OH 44119. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT BROWN-FORWARD, 17022 CHAGRIN BLVD, SHAKER HTS, OH FROM 3-6PM ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9. A Memorial Service will follow from 6-6:30pm.
