Mary Ellen Peter

Mary Ellen Peter (nee Weir) 94 passed away peacefully.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years Thomas Armistead.  Mary Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and a friend loved by many.  She is survived by her children Martha Peter, Thomas Peter III (Rebecca Nelson), Nancy Peter (Tony Smith) and Sallie Musser (Robert), 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Mary Ellen had a smile that filled the room.  She attended Laurel School, Shaker Heights High School and graduated from Hood College.  Mary Ellen enjoyed reading, golfing and especially time spent in Naples, Florida with family and friends.  The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Anna Maria Norwood and the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to the National Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 40544, Bay Village, OH 44140.  Services will be held at a later date.
