Melvin Douglas Walker, 79, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Melvin was born on March 9, 1945 in Wilcoe, West Virginia to Robert Enoch and Juanita (Oxendine) Walker. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Juanita Walker and his sister Rinda Gay Walker. Left to cherish his memory are his beautiful, and devoted wife Audrey L. Walker, son Sonny of Cleveland, Ohio, his sister Deborah Dandridge (Oakley-deceased), of Troy, Ohio, and brother Robert Nelson (Amy) Walker of Piqua, Ohio sisters in-law, Marie Dority of Junction City, Kansas, Dolores (Sidney) George of Columbus, Ohio, Debra E. Maxwell of Cleveland, Ohio, and brother in-law Kenneth J. (Jeanine) Maxwell of Cleveland, Ohio; his aunt Gracie, and a host of nieces, and nephews.
Melvin was a graduate of Gary High School in Gary, West Virginia in 1963. Melvin attended welding school in Sidney, Ohio. He retired from BF Goodrich in the factory and CAC Offices in Troy, Ohio.
Melvin loved to go to the casino's, buy Ohio lottery tickets, watching sports, especially football, going out to different restaurants, and spending time with his beautiful wife Audrey L. Walker listening to a variety of music and laughing and talking. He also loved time with his son discovering current events and going to Gary District High School Reunions with his beautiful wife.
He was very well loved by his beautiful wife, son, family and all that came in contact with him. Melvin will definitely be missed. A Private Memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.
