Patricia Shiverick

Patricia Shiverick nee Coombe of Hunting Valley, OH, passed away in Jupiter, FL at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Asa Shiverick, Jr; dear mother of Hope Shiverick Lomas Robert of Chagrin Falls, Asa "Bo" Shiverick III the Rev. Martha of Gates Mills, David Shiverick of Los Angeles, CA, Paul Shiverick Betsy of New York, NY and Reginald Shiverick Lynn of Hunting Valley; dear grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 2. Born July 27th 1923 in Greenwich CT, she attended the Chapin School, graduated from Miss Porter's School in Farmington CT, and attended Bennington College. Patricia worked as a nurse during WW II. After marrying Asa in 1947, the young couple moved to Cleveland to begin raising a family. She was an active member of the Garden Club of Cleveland, the Visiting Nurse Association, the 21st Century, and the Mundane Club. Known to her friends as Patsy, she was a keen tennis player, an avid reader, and a lover of the outdoors with a special passion and knowledge of wildflowers. But most of all, Patsy was devoted to her family. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to the Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio, 2500 East 22nd Street Cleveland, OH 44115. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 2nd at St. Christopher's by-the-River Church, 7601 Old Mill Rd, Gates Mills, OH 44040. Private family burial, Hunting Valley Cemetery.
