Peter McDonald

Peter McDonald, beloved husband of Linda Sanders McDonald (nee Fulghum), dear father of Macie Jordan and Andy McDonald. Dear Stepfather of Brad Sanders (Sharon) and the late Todd Sanders. Dear grandfather of Mitch and Bridget Jordan, Madison, Lucy and Chloe Sanders. Dear brother of Brownie (Mary Ellen) Baker and the late Edward Dixon McDonald, Jr. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Edward Dixon and Mary McDonald. Pete was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School in 1948 and was proudly inducted into its Hall of Fame in 1996. He received a B.A. in Architecture from Miami University in 1953. Pete spent his 28 year career as the Director of Tire Design for Firestone Tire and Rubber in Akron. His career passion was tire forensics where he served as an expert witness for both prosecution and defense and penned, Tire Imprint Evidence. Pete held 6 utility and design patents and was a founder of Hudson Architecture Board of Review. He was an artist who enjoyed stained glass, watercolors, acrylics and sculpture. Pete was the recipient of many community awards. Pete loved and spent many years with Linda enjoying canoeing and hosting friends at their cottage in Georgian Bay, Canada. A CELEBRATION OF PETER'S LIFE WILL BE HELD AT LAKE FOREST COUNTRY CLUB, 100 LAKE FOREST DRIVE, HUDSON, OHIO 44236 ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26TH AT 4 PM.
