REBECCA H. ELLIOTT age 88, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Elliott, her parents, George Brown Hill and Hannah Gaither Hill, and her brother, George Brown Hill, Jr. She is survived by a step-daughter, Jeanne Elliott Ruff, and two step-grandchildren, Carter Ruff and Jennifer Ruff Tamburro.
Becky was born in Pittsburgh on January 25, 1925. She was a graduate of Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University and was a Registered Nurse. Becky and Sam were married at St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington D.C. on July 20, 1963. Becky was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights, The Intown Club, and a former director of Lyric Opera. Becky was a past president of the Greater Cleveland Nurses Association. Contributions may be made to your charity of choice or to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 2747 Fairmount Boulevard, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44106 where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 11 a.m. A Reception at the Cleveland Skating Club, 2500 Kemper Road, Cleveland, OH 44120 will immediately follow the service.
