RICHARD HENRY LEUKART II, of Hudson, OH, noted labor relations attorney and partner at law firm Baker and Hostetler, passed away, May 2nd, at the age of 68. Dick was the loving husband of 32 years to Barbara J. nee Gottfried, and the devoted father of Elisabeth "Lisa" Chambers Howard of Sarasota, FL, Jennifer Savitch Jonathan of Montclair, NJ, Kate Monagan Andy of Snowmass, CO, Richard H. "Hank" Leukart, III of Los Angeles, CA, and Brian Leukart of Nyack, NY. He was the proud grandfather of Luke and Ethan Savitch and Alex Chambers. Born on March 15, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, he graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1960, where he played on the varsity basketball and was on the golf team. He graduated from Dartmouth College, in 1964, where he continued to play competitive golf and went on to attend Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business and continued on to graduate from the University of Michigan Law School. After graduation, he joined the law firm of Baker and Hostetler and spent his career there as a labor relations attorney, serving as Chair of the Labor and Employment group. In his personal life, he found peace on the golf course and in the home that he built for his family on the Caribbean island of St. John. Memorial Services will be held, Thursday, May 6th at The Country Club of Hudson, 2155 Middleton Rd. at 4:30PM in Hudson, Ohio.
