Robert Martin Goodell, age 102 of Glenwillow, OH. Born January 12,1912 in Tyler, Texas and passed away May 17, 2014 at the Kindred Assisted Living facility in Glenwillow, Ohio. Beloved husband of 68 years to the late Janet C. Goodell (nee Crowell); dear father of Roy C. (Lisa) of Lyndhurst, Ohio, Daniel E. (Linda) of Chardon, Ohio, and the late Martha L. Baxter (George): grandfather of 6: Eric Ania of Lansing, Michigan; Adam Goodell (Hope) of Bronx, New York; Scott Goodell of Los Angles, California (Rocia); Liza Goodell of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Laura Hinds (Robert) of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; Lindsay Goodell of Cleveland, Ohio: great-grandfather of 4: Christopher Hinds, Sterling Goodell, James Hinds, Ava Goodell. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard Goodell (Zoe) and Carlton Goodell (Dorothy) and his two sisters Martha Goodell and Helen Stafford (Robert).

He attended Lakewood High School and Fenn College. He was known as "Bob" by his friends and family. He had a long and distinguished career (49 years) at the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company (CEI). He was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where he worshiped for over 50 years. He was an avid tennis player (played to age 82), ice skater (skated to age 89) and belonged to the Cleveland Hiking Club and Science Club of Chagrin Falls. He was a charter member of the Warrensville Heights Little League and a youth counselor at Broadway YMCA. He attributed his longevity to a loving family and his employment with a great company. (CEI) He was a true gentleman and a friend to all who knew him.
