Bob Prochaska "Mr. Pro", Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather passed away Friday, February 3rd. Bob was born in 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio where he continued to reside for over 85 years. He attended Shaker Heights High School and served as a Radioman in the Navy in WWII. After his honorable discharge he went on to attain his degree in Engineering from Ohio University. He spent most of his professional career as the Chief Structural Facilities Engineer with the Cleveland Regional Sewer District. Bob believed in working hard and having fun. If he wasn't holding a hammer or a saw in his hand then he had a tennis racquet, golf club or playing cards in hand. He built his Shaker home and rebuilt his beloved Linwood cottage with his own hands. If heaven doesn't have beach volleyball or tennis courts it will soon! Bob will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know him. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Carol nee Gard; his daughters, Sue Galicz, Nancy White, and Karen Cahill; and his grandchildren, Molly Cahill, Kate Cahill and Alex Galicz. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights, 2860 Coventry Rd at Weymouth Rd.., Shaker Hts., OH 44120 where a Funeral Service will be held, Thursday, February 9th at 4 PM. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT BROWN-FORWARD, 17022 CHAGRIN BLVD., SHAKER HTS., OH, WEDNESDAY FEB. 8TH FROM 4:30-6:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will also take place at Linwood Park in the summer date TBD.
