Ruby Neville

Ruby B. Neville, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 4, 2012, at the age of 88. Ruby was born April 2, 1924, to George Reuben and Elsie Louise Brown in Shaker Heights, OH, where she lived her entire life. She graduated from Shaker Heights High School and was a 1946 graduate of Mount Holyoke College. She married Robert J. Neville in 1947, and they were married for 58 years until his death in 2005. She was a member of the Cleveland Skating Club since 1951 and The Country Club since 1964. Family was of utmost importance to Ruby. She was extremely proud of her five children and 15 grandchildren. She very much enjoyed spending almost 50 summers at Lake Chautauqua, NY, and many holidays skiing in Colorado and elsewhere with her family. She is survived by her children Thomas B. Kelly of Lake Tahoe, NV; James D. Anne of Pepper Pike, OH; Carol A. "Candy" Robert of Shaker Heights, OH; Nancy W. Gareth of Chalfont-St.Giles, England; and Cheryl L. Michael of North Bethesda, MD; her grandchildren Christine, Laura, Robert and John Neville; Brad Neville; Will, Tim, Maggie and Becky Scanlon; Claudia and Edward Neville Cadwallader; and Hugh, Geoff and Matt Danilack; brother and sisters-in-law Francis W. and Sally N. Neville of Chagrin Falls and Joanne W. Neville of Cleveland, OH; and some very wonderful friends. She was pre-deceased by her sister Evelyn B. Fox and her grandson Charles B. Scanlon. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to The First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland, 3630 Fairmount Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44116. There will be a private family ceremony.
