Sue Nichol Rowen, beloved mother of Amy Rowen of Geneva, OH and Michael Rowen of Painesville, OH. She was a doting grandmother to her two granddaughters, Tyla Rowen and the late Lindsay Rowen Wenk. Sue had many beloved grand dogs. Dear sister of Hetty McGinnis of Colorado and the late Don Nichol. Sue was an understated pillar of the community as well as the framework of her family. She often aided friends and family in crisis. Sue contributed to her many charitable interests. She humbly shunned the many accolades that she so deserved. Sue died unexpectedly at the age of 74 on Thursday, August 13, 2009. Her Wellseley College education, combined with her need to help others was put to good use through Junior League, The Children's Guild, Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights, and the Four Corners Garden Club, as well as numerous other charities that served the homeless and the Arts in Greater Cleveland. The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in her name to Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights, 2860 Coventry Rd., Shaker Heights, OH or Sue Nichol Rowen Fund, c/o Wellseley College, 106 Central St., Wellesley, MA 02481.
