Sylvia Morris-Dyer

Sylvia Ann “Sammy” Morris-Dyer, age 90 of Shaker Heights, OH.  Born and raised in Birmingham, MI, Albion College Alumnus, devoted mother, passionate advocate for women suffering from domestic violence and women in prison. Beloved wife of the late John James Dyer Jr.; loving mother of Margaret E. Dyer-Chamberlain (Page) of San Francisco, CA, Elizabeth B. Dyer of Tampa, FL, Deborah Ann Dyer of Middlefield, OH, John J. Dyer, III (Kimberly) of Cleveland Hts., OH and Mary K. Wilkinson (Bill) of Shaker Hts., OH; dear Grammy of Sam, Forrest, Arden, Katie, Avery, Jack and Mary Grace.

In honor of her dedicated life's work, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence ( ncadv.org/donate ) or to the Ohio Domestic Violence Network ( odvn.org ).  A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, on Saturday July 10 at 2:00 pm.
