Thomas H. Roulston II passed away peacefully with his wife of 61 years, Lois Mueller Roulston by his side. His friends and family will remember him for his boundless energy and enthusiasm to live each day to its fullest.
Born and raised in New York, Tom went on to attend Choate and Dartmouth College. After he served in the U.S. Air Force, Tom and Lois moved back to Cleveland. In 1963, Tom founded his own investment management firm, Roulston & Company. His contribution to local companies, civic organizations and the regional economy is well recognized through many awards and a key to the City.
Dedicated to helping others, Tom mentored and assisted men and women of all ages and walks of life. He shared his own experience pointing out not only his successes but his mistakes as well. Believing everyone deserves a chance, Tom worked with various public officials in finding jobs for those coming out of the prison system.
Over the years, Tom served on many public and private corporate and civic boards. For 25 years Tom was an officer of Bluecoats, an organization dedicated to serving the families of police and fireman killed in the line of duty in Cuyahoga County.
Tom was a man of honor and deeply loyal to his friends and family. He enjoyed travel and looked for unique ways to bring together those that he loved.
Tom is survived by his wife Lois and children, Scott D. Roulston (Laura), Thomas H. Roulston, III and Heather R. Ettinger (Jeff), grandchildren Scott and Stewart Roulston, Mason (Lora), Elizabeth and Grace Roulston and Emily, Kelly and Henry Ettinger, great grandsons Carter and Jackson Roulston and sister Heather R. Davidson.
The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to Bluecoats, Inc., 23300 Mercantile Road, Beachwood, OH 44122. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 30th at 1:00 PM at Fairmount Presbyterian Church, 2757 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.
