Timothy D. Jones

Timothy “Tim” Jones, 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. A graduate of University School and Bates College, Tim was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in skiing, bike riding, and reading. For most of his career he was in sales and marketing with PR Newswire, a news distribution platform.

Above all, he cherished hiking with his son, Timmy, and daughter, Megan, moments he held closest to his heart. He was immensely proud of both of them and their achievements.

Tim was the beloved son of the late Paul and Janet Brookhart Jones. He is survived by his children, Timmy and Megan (Isabel Johnston); his sisters, Christy Bittenbender (Chuck) and Debbie Dudley (Ed); and his brother, Casey Jonquil (Sharon). His kindness, adventurous spirit, and deep love for his family will be forever remembered.

The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to University School, 2785 SOM Center Road, Hunting Valley, OH 44022, Hospice of the Western Reserve, PO Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192 or Fairmount Presbyterian Church, 2757 Fairmount Blvd., Cleveland Hts., OH 44118 where Memorial Services will be held, on Saturday, March 22nd at 10:30am.

The service for Timothy Jones will be live-streamed on the church website and YouTube channel a 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22nd.
