Titus Muema Munyasya was born in Kitui, Kenya, June 24, 1937. Titus was an ambitious and intelligent man whose parents put an emphasis on education and spirituality from an early age. He excelled in school, attended the Teacher's College of Machakos and became a schoolteacher in Kitui, where he enjoyed passing on his love of learning to others. There he met numerous lifelong friends. Most importantly, he met his future wife, Peggy, whom he married on August 29, 1970. They moved to Cleveland and settled in Shaker Heights, Ohio, to raise their three children - Mwende, Jay, and Jackie. Titus' life was extremely family-focused. He was a provider, a guardian, very protective of his family and would work tirelessly for his children. There are so many memories shared by his family and friends of sitting in his backyard talking, eating and laughing.

He was a gentle man, compassionate, and giving. Over the years he was in the United States, he contributed to the elementary and college education of many family members in Kenya and stayed very involved with his family and community in his hometown. He was known for his generosity and his willingness to make sacrifices to meet a need. In recent years, he was passionate about raising money to build a well for water.
Titus was also known for his work ethic and was always a hard worker. Throughout his career, he worked as an accountant at various companies. Most recently, his accounting work was in the nonprofit sector. Even after retirement, he enjoyed continuing to work once a week at Murtis Taylor.
Titus loved gardening and he excelled at it. His backyard gardens have always flourished in the summer, which were loved by many throughout the years. In particular, he took pride in his roses and flowers. He also enjoyed traveling. He regularly visited back home and saw many places around the US and the world.
